Triplett Companies was founded in 1973 as a provider of office supplies and printing. This privately held company was founded by Richard Triplett and currently serves as the President and CEO. Richard's sons, Tom and Tim Triplett, serve as Vice Presidents. Triplett Interior Solutions is the furniture division added to the product offerings in 1979. Triplett moved into the current 30,000 SF building, allowing Triplett Companies to expand to a 6,000 SF showroom and a warehouse in 1997 with even more distribution capabilities. 

Triplett Companies acquired the Haworth line in 1996 and by April 2003, The Haworth Preferred Dealer Status was achieved! Preferred Dealer status is obtained when a Haworth dealer makes significant commitments regarding Haworth product focus, showroom, sales, design and installation training and customer service. 

Shortly after in 1997, Triplett Companies purchased an Office Furniture Franchise USA (OFUSA) to remain competitive in mid-priced solutions to non-contract customers. This also increased the dealer network for national distribution when another Haworth dealer may not be in the market area.

In 2002, Triplett Companies opened a regional sales office in Dubuque and in 2008 opened an office in Coralville. This allows for products and services to reach all corners of the state of Iowa. In 2013, employees celebrated 40 years in business with successfully serving customers since! 

In 2017 Triplett remodeled the Haworth showroom on the 2nd floor of the Des Moines location, showcasing new product and renovating the building.
